With over 20 years experience in the landscape industry, Michael decided it was time to venture out and start Coy Landscapes LLC. As a youngster, Michael helped his father plant a Japanese Maple outside their home. From this moment forward, a passion was instilled and his dream of working in landscaping began. This led him to pursue a B.S. in Plant and Soil Science with a concentration in Horticulture from the University of Kentucky. While studying at UK, he gained hands-on experience with plant growth and cultivation through his work at the UK Arboretum as well as at the Bernheim Arboretum and Natural Research Forest. After graduating, he secured tenure as Golf Course Superintendent of a private Country Club in Louisville KY. The 7 years as Assistant Superintendent and 11 years as Golf Course Superintendent allowed him to further his knowledge and hone his skills in the construction, design, and maintenance of golf courses as well as the various aspects of landscaping.
